What makes us so different
from the others?
We're not a company. Companies provide the policy and are responsible for claims payment. Some deal directly with you (the insureds), and some deal only with agents or brokers.
We're not an agency (although, of course, per state law we are licensed as agents.
We are a brokerage, which means that we represent various companies, not just one, and it also means something else very important.
For a brokerage, there's a big distinction here. As stated by insurance law, when you deal directly with a company, you are dealing with company-paid agents, whose responsibility is to the company. When you deal with an agent, you are dealing with a person whose first responsibility is to the company, and whose second responsibility is to the client. When you deal with us (a brokerage), you deal with brokers whose first responsibility is to the client, and whose second responsibility is to the company.
Which of the three parties (the company, an agent, or a broker) would you prefer to have helping you in the rare but still possible dispute with the company over a claim?
We thought so. And so should you. |
